life coaching
Most likely, no one would describe you as “stuck” or “afraid”—in fact, quite the opposite.
You’re loyal and know how to show up for others.
You can rock a to-do list.
You’re not shy and withdrawn, and have even gone after some big dreams.
The challenge is this: you’re tired.
You’re tired of showing up for everyone and everything else, while you come last.
You’re tired of feeling guilty when you’re irritable or checked out because you’re carrying too much stress.
You’re tired of feeling like you can “get stuff done” but somehow, that doesn’t quite feel like living.
Make no mistake: you’re not dumb.
It’s not like you “don’t know” that this isn’t good for you. You’ve read a bit of Brene Brown. You think critically about your self-help and prefer it evidence-based, though you’ll occasionally dabble in some woo. You’ve tried things. You’ve already applied your best, most strategic thinking to reorganize your schedule, give yourself a break, or take things off of your plate.
Yet somehow, allll the stress comes back, and the relief of any changes you make are short-lived. It’s frustrating as hell.
Why does this happen? Why is this cycle so hard to break?
Because no matter how it may look to everyone else, unconscious fear patterns are secretly controlling your life.
You may call these patterns “perfectionism” or “people-pleasing” or “over-functioning” or “anxiety,” but they all stem from the same, fear-based place.
What you actually want:
You want a life where you know who you are, what you want, and all of your ambition comes from a place of flow, not over-functioning.
You want a life that’s spacious, and a schedule with room.
You want self-acceptance and freedom from constantly running laps around doing, performing, and getting things done.
You want the truth of who you are on the inside, to be how you actually live, on the outside. This is only possible when you do the work to stop running the old, fear-based patterns and create new, courageous habits.
If you’re ready for something different, I can help.
Since 2006, across thousands of hours of coaching, I’ve worked with ambitious over-achieving women who have all the smarts and hustle dialed in. The perfectionist, over-achieving, hustle-hustle thing works, until it doesn’t.
My clients know that they’ve got to do something different, and that’s where life coaching comes in.
I have a PCC credential from the International Coaching Federation. While I am not a licensed therapist, I’ve completed graduate coursework in human growth and development, behavioral change, and more.
On my About page I talk about coming from a bio-psycho-social model. Our biology, our psychology, and our social environments will all impact our experience of the world.
In a coaching relationship I am the best fit for someone who wants a mix of going deep to explore the patterns and habits that underlie their current experience of the world—but with a mix of using evidence-based practices and a bit of “let’s stretch into the mystery of the human experience” woo.
Feelings are real, yes, but they also tell tall tales. Our pasts have brought us to where we are today, but constantly revisiting the past to reinforce the ways that we were hurt does not progress our lives forward.
I challenge my clients to stop repeating how they can’t do XYZ because of a label (“I’m just not an organized kind of person”) or their past (“I can’t move forward because of trauma”) and start recreating their lives from this present moment.
My approach is about empathy for your experience while relentlessly reaching for something more. If this philosophy does not feel aligned for you personally, then we are not a fit to work together.
INVESTMENT
I charge $350 for a 90-minute introductory coaching session, with no obligation to continue. After filling out the inquiry form below, I’ll send you an in-depth questionnaire and review it prior to our session.
Our intro session will be a “real” coaching session (not a Q&A or sales call). We’ll dive straight into the work. You’ll be coached on the topics of your choosing.
If you decide you want to continue with regular coaching after your intro session, I charge $350/monthly for two 60-minute sessions per month. We work together for an initial 3 month commitment, so that you have time to see progress.
Because I have a PCC credential I can offer Mentor Coaching to coaches who want their ACC or PCC credential with the ICF.
